Kailey Havelock is a writer, editor, and scholar living in Toronto. She currently works as an agency assistant at CookeMcDermid. She also works as the proofreader and associate interviews editor at The Puritan, a staff writer at The Town Crier, and as a manuscript editor at the Modern Literature and Culture Research Centre.
Kailey recently completed SSHRC-funded Master’s degree in Literatures of Modernity at Ryerson University, where she earned a 4.33/4.33 GPA and received an award for academic excellence for achieving the highest GPA in her program. She was also nominated for a Governor General's Gold Medal, which is the university's highest academic honour.
Kailey also holds an Honours BA in English Literature and Creative Writing, with Distinction, from Concordia University, where she was shortlisted for the 2015 Compton-Lamb Memorial Scholarship and the 2016 MacGuigan Prize, and graduated as an Arts and Sciences Scholar.
