The Cooke Agency and Cooke International are the domestic and international divisions of a prominent literary agency located in downtown Toronto. The agency facilitates publication contracts and liaises between authors and foreign publishers, translators, or film producers seeking rights to reproduce an author’s work. As an intern, I have gained valuable experience with various aspects of the publishing industry and have strengthened my editorial, administrative, and technical skills.

Publicity Agent at The Puritan
The Puritan is an online Toronto-based literary magazine. The magazine publish high-quality literary poetry, fiction, essays, reviews, and interviews, four times annually. Publicity Agents are ambassadors for the magazine, both at live events in the Toronto literary community and online across several social media platforms.

Co-Organizer and Moderator of Editors Talking Editing
Featured in the Writers Read Off the Page literary festival, "Editors Talking Editing: The Other Side of Submittable" considers the side of the industry that writers might only think of in the abstract: the collection, curation, and decision to publish one's writing. Student-produced publications not only provide a venue for the voices of emerging writers, but also offer students the opportunity to gain valuable publishing and editing experience. Former student editors discuss their undergraduate and graduate publishing and editing experience and their current work in the industry.

The Concordia Association for Students in English is a group dedicated to fostering a strong community among all undergraduate students currently enrolled in any degree program within the English Department at Concordia University, including Honours, Specialization, Major, or Minor, in English Literature or Creative Writing. C.A.S.E. hosts social and academic events throughout the year, offering students the opportunity to socialize and engage in intellectual exchange with their peers, fostering a sense of community within the department.
